Who is KATRIN HANSMEIER

SPEAKER, ACTRESS, AUTHOR, MODERATOR:
“I have been performing on large and small stages and in front of the camera for over 20 years. My joy about my profession and my vocation grows with every day – and has already carried me through various crises and changes in my life.
Even when I was studying acting, I was fascinated by when and why the audience smiles or laughs – and how humor helps us to cope with difficult situations. It’s not for nothing that there is a jester in every Shakespeare play, no matter how dramatic: the audience should laugh and relax in between so that they can be receptive again. Because joy keeps you healthy, makes you capable of acting and inspires you.

I also wrote my diploma thesis on humor as a mental survival tool in 2006. Little did I know at the time that I would later dedicate myself full-time to joy, humor and its effect in communication. But many comedy master classes and gag writing workshops later, after my own humor research and the development of various training formats, after numerous theater and TV productions – including in the commissar team of the Berlin crime scene – my knowledge is bundled in the book “Humor. The Manifesto for Delayed Repartee” and in my keynotes and training sessions.
Our world is changing rapidly. The ability to improvise and explore contradictions has therefore become a core skill and is anchored in my DNA as an actress. I love the unexpected – and when things go wrong, I go into overdrive. The basic attitude: “Hooray for a problem, let’s see what we can do with it” makes us all more productive, faster and more innovative. We have to endure uncertainty, embrace change and remain capable of acting. Preferably TOGETHER.
This is exactly where I come in with ENJOY WORK.”

HUMOR SELLS!

How to win people over with ease

Humor magically attracts people. We breathe a sigh of relief and are in a better mood. And even difficult topics become easier when humor comes into play. After this presentation, you will know how to manage your mood, relax tensions and increase alertness. Experience how easy it can be! Even unfair attacks will no longer tempt you to play conflict ping-pong, but will motivate you to return the charm. Is it all just culture? Certainly not: because benevolent humor boosts your ROI and has a positive effect on sickness rates, skills shortages and employee motivation. And therefore on your turnover. In this presentation, Katrin Hansmeier reveals how you can use business humor to put a smile on the faces of your customers, partners and investors and win them over.

TOGETHER INSTEAD OF SHIT TOGETHER

Creating value through appreciation

Anger, frustration and loss of energy? Or rather joy, productivity and flow? How do we manage to regain our speech when we are at a loss for words? To keep breathing when we catch our breath? To act together instead of pigeonholing each other? Join Katrin Hansmeier for a look beyond your own communicative horizons – and experience how easy it is to work together without shitting each other. Starting tomorrow! This interactive talk is about dealing with resistance in a charming way, de-escalating communication techniques and successfully using the power of body language, facial expressions and gestures. Empathy plus a pinch of humor takes cooperation to a new level! The result is a high level of professionalism, more time for the important things, lots of fun in achieving common goals and numbers.

TATORT TEAM!

It’s better to think around corners than to turn them

Comedies, dramas, tragedies – it’s not just on the screen. But also on the movie set. And in your company too. Who plays which role, follows which script? Who is your director, who is an extra? Is this distinction still appropriate for a modern “we”? In her lecture, TV actress Katrin Hansmeier talks about the material from which productive teams are created. And she will reveal what happens behind the scenes of crime scenes and the like: how bad moods are killed on set, toxic relationships are transformed into productive cooperation – spontaneously, agilely and appreciatively. Learn how to use specific techniques to make productive use of disruptions and conflicts. Recognize the high degree of effectiveness of your gestures, facial expressions and voice. The Making of “productive cooperation” – now in the new lecture by Katrin Hansmeier.

HOORAY, A PROBLEM!

Mastering everyday management with joy.

Humor makes you attractive. This applies to you as a manager and to your topics. After this presentation, you will know how to use humor to manage mood, relax tension and increase attention. And you will experience how easy it can be! Regardless of whether you are dealing with change processes, difficult appraisal interviews or team conflicts. Appropriate humor relieves tension and motivates. It is important to be able to distinguish between effective/appreciative and hurtful humor. True to the motto “Hurray, a problem!”, Katrin Hansmeier clears up the usual bad-mood traps and sources of danger in communication. Even unfair attacks will no longer throw you off course. You can now turn them into appreciative remarks and make the other person smile. Humor will help you reach your goal faster and in a good mood! Benevolent humor in the corporate culture has a positive effect on sickness rates, skills shortages and employee motivation.

HUMOR AND LIGHTNESS

Current Lunch & Learn sessions with Katrin Hansmeier

Lunch & Learn: Change-Joy-Balance – Crisis-proof and connected in wild times.

What is a reverse keynote? In this session, we’ll be presenting you with something completely new on the speaker market:

A reverse keynote is a type of presentation where the audience has control over the content. First, there will be a short impulse on a topic that moves us all: “How we can become crisis-proof and connected in wild times.” In the meantime, we will collect everything that concerns you about the impulses and Katrin and Carl – in this case digitally, of course. (This also works on the real stage!) From then on, you’ll be in charge. Katrin and Carl tailor their content directly to your questions and wishes. Why can this work? Because both are absolute experts in their fields and flexibility is part of their self-image.

Keynotes: Katrin Hansmeier and Dr. Carl Naughton

Head of Streaming: Thorsten Jekel

Tough but flair! Pigeonhole thinking: Imagine you leave them open.

We are all under pressure at the moment – you can feel it every day. That’s why we’re holding a Lunch & Learn on the topic: “Together instead of shit together!” By letting go of pigeonholes and being mindful of each other, we open up new spaces. We are in favor of radically abandoning old beliefs.

Keynotes: Katrin Hansmeier and Jacqueline d’Arc alias Gaston
Expert moderation and soul food: Tom Friedländer

Hooray – a problem! Smiles instead of frowns. Punchline meets magic.

The end-of-year spurt at work needs to be completed. Christmas is just around the corner. The family soon too. At this Lunch & Learn, we will serve you humorous snacks for the Christmas menu and show you how little things can bring serenity to tense situations.

Keynotes: Katrin Hansmeier and Dr. Carl Naughton
Soulfood & Magic: Jörg Alexander

Keep Calm. Stay Focused. With emotional agility to more serenity.

Is that me, or is that my emotion? Vivienne Dübbert and Katrin Hansmeier want to consciously ask themselves this question at this Lunch & Learn. Because only when you are clear about this do you have the chance to get out of the spiral of thoughts and into the self-responsibility that you need to use strong emotions to your own advantage. After all, emotional agility is essential, especially in times of crisis. An important tool for achieving this is your own sense of humor – but how do you do that in times like these? In this Lunch & Learn, you will find out how to do this and how you can use your resources in a targeted manner.

Board members in small and medium-sized cooperative banks have to solve a multitude of problems every day. Not only in day-to-day banking operations, but especially in management work. Dear Katrin, your wonderful presentation opened the eyes of many listeners. Everyone has the choice of how they deal with problems in everyday management: M wit reluctance or with humor. In our increasingly complex world, you are absolutely right when you say: “Lightness has become a high value. With your keynote speech, you inspired us all and gave us a bit of “lightness”. We will certainly be able to say “Hooray for a problem” more often in the future. Thank you for your uniqueness and your enthusiasm in the way you took the members of our community of interest for small and medium-sized cooperative banks with you.

Top, uncomplicated, simply terrific! For our 29th GC Leadership Symposium, the “PrintRebellen”, we were looking for two extremely exceptional “hecklers”, which we found in Katrin Hansmeier & Katharina Aguilar. In the first team meeting, the two of them bubbled over with incredibly great ideas to enrich our event professionally, skillfully and with the necessary portion of lightness! The way the duo interacted with each other and with the participants in a humorous and – in keeping with the theme of the symposium – rebellious manner was outstanding. With great interaction and palpable excitement, they refreshed the audience time and again. This spirit remained until the very last minute. We can only warmly recommend them as speakers or entertainers, both individually and together, for any event.

Managing Director, GC Graphic Consult GmbH, 2024

Katrin Hansmeier, a perfect blend of humor expert with a flair for spontaneity and professional composure, was an absolute asset as a heckler at our 29th GC Leadership Symposium. She enchanted the entire audience with her very first words. Her irresistible sense of humor, her extremely likeable and funny manner effortlessly captivated the participants and got even the shyest of them to actively participate. Katrin’s captivating presence and infectious, hearty laugh enlivened our symposium in an incredibly refreshing way, she was a highlight at our event.

The moment Katrin Hansmeier took to the stage at Volksbank Hamm’s Symposium 2024, it was immediately clear that we were in for an outstanding and unforgettable event. The audience of over 700 was completely enthralled by the presentation “Hurray, we have a problem!”. The hall in Maximilianpark Hamm was filled with hearty laughter and rousing joy. Above all, however, Ms. Hansmeier’s top-class performance gave us plenty of new ideas on how we can master hectic situations in everyday working life with humor and put a smile on people’s faces. An absolute heartfelt recommendation to experience the humor expert and actress live.

Markus Dünnebacke

Board member, Dortmunder Volksbank e.G.

We would like to thank Katrin Hansmeier for the great & pleasant performance. After a day with a lot of content input and topics worth knowing, she rounded off the program at the top of the event and thus also gave it a lightness. Each of our guests/participants was able to take away and internalize something from the everyday examples.

Ms. Hansmeier is not only an expert in what she does, but also a person with a lot of warmth.
Without hesitation, she was always on site on the day of the event, was able to absorb the atmosphere very well and had great conversations. Thank you for the great cooperation!

“YES EXACTLY” – using humor to overcome the speechlessness that you encounter in everyday professional life – and that women encounter more often than men. This is just one of the many lessons I have learned at the events with Katrin Hansmeier. Humor disarms in a charming way, it lightens the mood and can surprise! Everything is easier with a smile. If you want to enrich your management toolbox, you should definitely attend an event with Katrin Hansmeier – it’s also a great incentive for colleagues.

The informal, fresh lectures are inspiring both in their honest cordiality and their astonishing closeness to life. Ms. Hansmeier’s thought-provoking impulses and suggestions are easy to implement in everyday life – some of them have already become an integral part of our lives and many will follow. She inspires and captivates – true alchemy!

In a lively and technically sound manner, Ms. Hansmeier shows how benevolent humor can promote communication and have a relieving effect. Varied contributions and different exercises motivate people to try out and reflect on their own attitude. Ms. Hansmeier is like a spark that ignites. I have rarely experienced so much competence and diversity in just two hours!

Dennis Glöckner

Personnel development consultant, District Office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg of Berlin

Ms. Hansmeier managed to present humor as an effective resource in everyday working life. The approximately 200 employees of our company who attended were enthusiastic and reported back to us several times that they not only laughed heartily, but also received a lot of food for thought. We are convinced that the impetus provided by Ms. Hansmeier’s presentation will continue to have an effect for a long time to come. We will recommend the German Institute for Humor wherever we can.

The lecture ” Humor on prescription! The dose brings the success.” by Katrin Hansmeier was a particular highlight in our series of events for doctors and nursing staff. I always took something new away from the lectures. Highly recommended.

Professional, entertaining, inspiring !!! Ms. Hansmeier dealt meticulously and in detail with our business model and its special features as part of her preparations for her keynote speech. She skilfully drew parallels between the classic film business and the specialized WÜRTH distribution with charm and wit. Our employees are still raving about the consistently humorous and entertaining presentation.

We really enjoyed Katrin Hansmeier’s presentation. It was a great way to break up the lecture series and Ms. Hansmeier wonderfully incorporated the aspects that were important to us. All in all, a successful lecture and a great, inspiring personality! We can only say thank you very much.

Eileen Ditandy

Katrin Hansmeier gave us wonderful support: In the preparation with tips for the presenters as well as in her dual role as moderator at the presentation of our 2024 strategy poster by the management team and as keynote speaker under the motto “HUMORTIPPs! Shaping everyday life at LBL in a good mood. With Katrin Hansmeier’s successful moderation, the exchange on the main topics brought a few surprises and was a lot of fun for everyone. The keynote speech was about how we can use humor to bring some lightness to our everyday lives and deal with difficulties more calmly in the future. We were particularly impressed by the examples and practical tips on how positive reinterpretation can reverse disruptions or attacks. The New Year’s reception lasted three hours and was so entertaining that all of the approximately 100 participants were actively involved the whole time.
