Who is JÖRG ALEXANDER
Jörg Alexander, born in 1963, moved to Munich in 1994 after successfully completing his studies in electrical engineering and turned his vocation into a profession: he became a professional magician. He has achieved numerous successes in national and international magic competitions: He is a two-time German champion, multiple runner-up, winner of the “World Open Close-up Contest” on the Isle of Man and was a two-time prizewinner at the 1997 World Championships of Magic in Dresden. He performs at high-profile corporate events for clients such as Munich Re, Allianz and BMW and also works internationally (foreign languages: English and Spanish). Jörg Alexander has been teaching other magicians at home and abroad at seminars and workshops for many years and also supports professional colleagues as a consultant and coach. In 2011, he was honored by the Magic Circle as “Writer of the Year” for his publications in the field of magic. His career as a speaker and management trainer for clients such as SIEMENS and the Boston Consulting Group began in 2003 with a specialist lecture to selected clients of Munich Re.

The world in our heads is an illusion – who would know this better than a magician. In truth, our reality and our thinking are based on a sandy foundation; we constantly confuse perception and truth. In his lecture “Reality… and other illusions”, Jörg Alexander makes this very point clear to his audience, as forcefully and directly as perhaps only a magician can. In addition to conveying facts, he concentrates above all on very personal “aha” moments: astounding illusions as well as surprising experiments with our perception and our thinking. Jörg Alexander sees the ability to question oneself as the key to real change. Let yourself be surprised!
