WHO IS GREGOR STAUB
For a long time, Gregor Staub himself had difficulty remembering things – and accepted this as “natural”. But one day, when he spent hours looking for his car at the airport – he had arrived by train – it became too much for him. And so he set out to find a solution. In the process, he discovered that learning is not just a talent and that there are actually proper memorization techniques. Some of them have been around since ancient times, such as the Greek mnemonic technique. After trying out a number of practices and aids himself, he tested them with several thousand students at the University of Zurich. Over many months, Staub worked with the current learning material and, together with the students, found out which mnemonic techniques were best suited to the various tasks. In the process, he learned not only to apply his knowledge himself, but also to convey it to others in an efficient and fun way. This resulted in a comprehensive training program that he has since called “mega memory®”.
Today, over 20 years later and after more than 3,500 seminars and presentations with around 1.5 million participants, Staub states:
