Speakers on the subject of philosophy
Philosophy is thinking about important questions in life, such as: @What is the meaning of life?”
The term comes from the Greek and means “lover of wisdom”. The foundations were laid in ancient times, when thinkers such as Socrates and Plato began to reflect on human life and the world.
Today, philosophy is also important in an economic and political context because it helps us to think critically and make better decisions for our society.
Thanks to @Christoph Quarch, our philosophy has long revolved around the questions of being a fulfilled human being in the 21st century:
What does it mean to be fully alive? What is the inalienable dignity of human beings in the digital age? What kind of thinking do we need to meet the challenges of climate change?
Answers to this question arise for us from the fact that humans are relational beings:
“Our self is formed in conversation with the other; we discover meaning by allowing ourselves to be touched by the world.
Life succeeds where we are creatively active together, tied back to living nature.”
