RESILIENCE & LEADERSHIP

I am Cornelia Findeisen and I make “mammoths agile”.

Crises and battlefields are my everyday life. I have been living and working in France for many years, as a top executive in the public sector, now as head of the interministerial human resources department of the state IT sector. This job is not just about change, but almost about revolution, upheaval, about far-reaching transformation programs in which things are turned upside down.

But I also have a few other jobs and tasks, I am a mother of three daughters, a book author and also a trainer & coach for start-ups and innovative projects. And a speaker.

My topics ? Leadership, resilience, innovation, transformation, change & new work.

I prefer to work with a lot of humor. Because humor is simply unbeatable when you want to convey serious, difficult messages and would rather open up energetic perspectives than moan and rant.

I usually provide a breath of fresh air and new energy (at least that’s what my clients and my teams say) and help them to approach life and work like an exciting adventure trip, without forgetting to have fun.

WHO is CORNELIA FINDEISEN

In today’s VUCA world, the digital and dynamic world, nothing is more constant than change. Entrepreneurs and managers are facing ever greater challenges. Change, innovation and reinvention are required. This process starts with ourselves. It is important to learn new approaches, rethink management and rediscover yourself as a leader.

Cornelia Findeisen is German, but has lived in France for a long time. There, she has had to constantly realign both organizational structures and herself. In addition to her work as a top executive in large public administrations, she is also an expert and coach for start-ups, agile methods and innovative management. She is also a trainer, author and speaker. Cornelia shares her own concrete experiences, adventures, encounters and moving stories. She combines depth with lightness, freshness and humor, and her positive energy is contagious! Whether in speeches, lectures or workshops – Cornelia provides new food for thought for concrete action. And if desired, she can also play a few cello notes live and on the subject!

RESILIENCE AND LEADERSHIP, WITHOUT BLAH BLAH BLAH

Crisis? No, opportunity!

Everyone is talking about change, innovation and transformation. There is even talk of upheaval and disruption. Yet we all really struggle with change. People are creatures of habit. So are we managers and entrepreneurs!

Change is usually a crisis. And crisis is change.

And if you don’t want the change, the crisis, you can of course bury your head in the sand for the time being. Or even flee.

No, let’s be honest: if we don’t proactively shape change, if we don’t ride the wave, then the wave of change will crash over our heads. And then all we have to do is catch our breath.

To surf the wave of change, we need resilience.

This means not only adapting, being supple and flexible, really agile, but also embarking on an adventure.

With ups & downs. And again and again … Loops. That can be fun too, can’t it?

In my presentations, I explain whether this is possible and how it works.

I would love to take you on a real leadership management and life rollercoaster ride. Fasten your seat belt now.

LEADERSHIP FAÇON TATIN!

The toppled French apple pie as a guide for innovative managers.

Do you know who is most afraid of change, innovation and transformation? We executives, managers and leaders.

Not if we only stage superficial change, of course. With a few nice creativity workshops, lots of swarm intelligence and colorful post-its.

If we really want to change something, become more collectively agile and innovative, we have to break the rules and crack the very codes that give us so much stability and security in our role as boss. Agile leadership means delegating, giving up (without giving in), letting go … no longer having everything under control.

Sounds easy, but it’s not. Because as a leader, you have to turn yourself upside down a bit. Turn yourself upside down. Maybe you’re sporty and really fit when it comes to handstands. Not me. For me, it was and is hard work. And although my leadership headstand works now, I have to keep practising it. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that although it’s sporty, it’s also fun. And that once you’ve tried it, you’ll always want more.

Like the Tarte Tatin, the famous French upside-down apple tart.

Bon appétit !

DATA, AI AND STUFF LIKE THIS ... FOR MANAGERS AND OTHER DUMMIES

So that you can survive in the new world even if you’re not an IT geek.

Do you sometimes think that data, digitization and everything related to it is only for IT freaks?

Do you have the feeling that AI and big data are terms that don’t really come from your world and whose secrets can only be deciphered by developpers with long, greasy hair?

Do you sometimes still hope that you can surf through the job without really knowing what Industry 4.0 and the New Economy are?

At the same time, your life is increasingly dominated by digital work tools and social networks and you certainly wouldn’t be able to do without your smartphone?

My talk will help you decode the challenges, opportunities and limitations, even the threats, of our now completely “data-driven” world. You will understand what is happening, why and how it affects you and how you can (or cannot) deal with it.

Simply get fitter for an increasingly digital world. Without becoming a freak, without long, greasy hair (unless you like that), without headaches and without boring and technocratic blah-blah-blah.

FROM FRUSTRATION TO PLEASURE: MEETINGS WITH A DIFFERENCE

Finally get more out of your meetings. For you and your team!

Be honest, do you sometimes suffer from your meetings? Too long, too often, lots of talk and little result?

Unfortunately, this is the norm in almost all companies. Worldwide. Our meetings don’t work well, waste time and money and destroy employee engagement. Yet meetings are actually the most important leadership tool of all, absolutely fundamental for innovative leadership and an engaging corporate culture.

It’s time for change.

Turn your meetings into exciting, invigorating and efficient moments.

No more boring meetings with frustration and loss of time!

You deserve it and so do your employees.

I will show you from my own experience why and how it can be done differently. It’s not that difficult. My tips and advice are immediately applicable and you can start implementing them tomorrow.

But it’s not just about methods and putting them into practice. We will also question management approaches and long-established patterns that repeatedly restrict us all …

But don’t worry, it won’t be know-it-all, I’ve bumbled and stumbled around a lot with meetings myself.

With me you get a large portion of humor instead of a raised index finger.

REFERENCES & CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

Dear Ms. Findeisen, I would like to thank you very much for your contribution to our leadership congress. Afterwards, I was asked by numerous participants about the great speaker in the “Forum with the Mammoth”. You inspired my colleagues and they will take many valuable ideas and food for thought home with them, which could be good for the further development of the BA (Federal Employment Agency).

Melanie Jost, Strategy Development

Federal Employment Agency

With her inspiring and captivating manner, Cornelia Findeisen took us listeners on a wonderful “journey” through her own experiences with the topic of resilience. The points of openness and clarity in the statements on the topic of leadership in today’s world stand out in particular. I particularly liked her humorous way of questioning change in companies, but also herself – always with the aim of changing herself and the organization for the better in the long term. All in all, an incredibly motivating lecture!
