RESILIENCE & WARM-HEARTEDNESS
Born in Ulm in 1979, Caro Matzko now lives with her family in Munich – and on the stages of this country.

She became known as the presenter of over 800 science programs (e.g. Arte Xenius) and as a prominent sidekick on 250 BR late-night shows with Hannes Ringlstetter.
Caro Matzko presents for Bayern 2, ARD, ARTE and the BR, is part of the ARD program lifelines, writes as a guest author for the SZ, speaks at conferences, curates discussions with celebrities and always gets to the heart of the matter. "OLD RAGE" LECTURE, READING & AUDIENCE TALK
The author Caro Matzko reads, tells, asks & discusses:
“Old Rage” – Why I traveled to the place my father once had to flee from.
“What a touching story about German history and about a modern woman touched by it. Who wants to talk and write about it openly and, above all, can tell her own story brilliantly. With all her heart. “With this book, Caroline Suchmaschine has found the most important thing for us humans: Peace!”
Hannes Ringlstetter
“Great woman, great book.”
Jürgen von der Lippe
“Caro’s book hit me right in the heart. Because: it touches, entertains and shows in a loving and clear way how political discourse can work in Germany. Without pointing fingers or being accusatory, but emotional in its discussion but always appreciative in its approach. My recommendation of the year!”

Lunch & Learn Special: “Alte Wut” – The most important book of the year Sneak Preview with author Caro Matzko
Between anorexia and Masuria: Caro Matzko’s father fled East Prussia as a young boy. Eighty years later, his daughter drives the route “backwards” from Munich via Weißenfels, Berlin, Niechorze and Elbląg to Ostróda – formerly Osterode in East Prussia. And discovers social revelations that provide answers to three political questions of our time. Along for the ride: daughter, husband, dog and – the portafilter coffee machine. This is how the book “Alte Wut” came about : as a road movie through archives, landscapes and family histories. Personally and politically. Painful – and yet full of lightness and humor. And with personal answers that are so much more than “just” personal.

Lunch & Learn – Kill your silo! Thinking in departments prevents the future. | Keynote with Gerriet Danz
On May 16, there was a wake-up call for everyone who really wanted to make a difference. Gerriet Danz was a transformation architect and radical collaboration advocate. At the 43rd virtual Lunch & Learn, he gave a keynote speech entitled “Kill your silo! Thinking in departments prevents the future”, he summed up what many felt – but hardly anyone addressed:
Organizations don’t fail because of change – they fail because of coexistence!
This keynote is not a lecture. It is an impulse. A decision. A test: How much future do you really want to allow?

On November 15, Caro Matzko had her premiere at our 37th Lunch & Learn. She managed to find out in a humorous and loving way what tricks Thorsten uses to cope with his crazy workload, how he prepares for his keynotes and how he remains cheerful and confident – even despite a few blatant fuck-ups.

REFERENCES & CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS
The evening with the wonderful Caro Matzko and her book “Alte Wut” was a great pleasure. There are very few people on stage who can combine human warmth and depth of content with so much humor. I am sure that this evening will not be the only one. (10/2025)
We couldn’t have wished for better: Caro Matzko prepared the presentation of the Catholic Media Award 2025 highly professionally and extremely well. We received consistently positive feedback afterwards – not only from Cardinal Marx, but above all from the award winners, because they really felt valued. Caro Matzo made a significant contribution to this. She carried the event and struck the right note at every point. She does this in a very human way – especially as some of the topics were really serious and challenging. Many thanks also to the whole Karin Burger team! (10/2025)
